Jeff Horton, veteran writer, supplies the markers for the community poem.

During the Ben Shirk Project the writers table poem was read aloud.

The writer's table made quite a creative contribution to the festivities this year. Jeff Horton, a serious novelist and poet, was inspired to bring a large pad of paper and some colored markers to the fest. He invited any and all to add a line to the collective poem. Upon the completion of two pages, Barbara Dise, recited the verses during The Ben Shirk Project. This rendition was not recorded live, but written here by Jeff Horton. Perhaps an audio recreation of this ditty will be presented in the future.
